| October 2010:
In the beginning of october, 3 employees of the company BALZER arrived on the Island Vannoya.
Stefan, Martin and Yi-Tao had the plan, to realize their dreams of a big halibut and
other large species of the northatlantic.
Furthermore they wanted to make again a field-test with the BALZER ADREANALIN multireels.

After a successful beginning with halibut up to 28kg, cods up to 16,5kg and coalfish up to 11kg,
the weather has changed extremely the next day.
A low pressure area with a lot of rain from southwest has arrived and during the day,
the first storm in this autumn has raged over the island.
Unfortunately, the wind stayed also for the rest of the week and it was not possible anymore, to use the Arvor boat

September 2010:
fantastic september catches
our customers in Torsvag had nice weather and great catches in september.

In the first and second septemberweek, Torsvag Havfiske was the location for the ,,3. Expedition - Kveite,,
biggroup tour, supported by Matthias Fuhrmann and Volker Dapoz.
In 14 days, all Member caught in total 49 halibut up to 170cm and also other popular species like cod(up to 22Kg)
redfish(up to 4,8Kg) and coalfish(up to 10Kg) have been caught.
The same groupevent is also planed for the next year and the period will be probably august 2011.

The nice codfishing continued in september and our guests caught plenty of big cods
with some over 20Kg.

The halibutfishing was excellent and in some weeks, the anglers caught more than 40 halibut.
Specially the average size, which has been very often between 130cm and 140cm, was amazing.
The most biggest halibut in september have been:
171cm, 170cm, 168cm, 166cm, 160cm, 160cm, 158cm und 156cm
Once again, the september was one of the best period to catch the big coalfish.
A lot of them had a weight over 10Kg and some of the biggest coalfish weight over 14 up to 15Kg.

The fishing for redfish was still successful and the anglers caught plenty of 1-2Kg redfish.
The biggest redfish in this month had a weight of 4.8Kg.

August 2010:
Bocholt Lions ,,on Tour in Torsvag,,
Jan, Gregor and Jonas had some nice catches in August 2010 and caught Cod, Halibut, Coalfish and Wolffish in good sizes.

In the same period, the team ,,Ronni`s Angelshop,, from Hamburg caught plenty of Halibut up to 29Kg with trolling. |

Other customers, which have visited our camp had good catchresults.
The cod was mostly in depths between 60 to 80 mtr. and some cods reached sizes between 15 and 20Kg.
The average size of the halibut was 10 up to 30Kg and some between 40 - 57Kg.
At the end of august, the current was rising, because of the moonphase and the conditions for the halibutfishing
have been excelent.
More anglers had contacts with a big halibut, but the most ,,big ones,, got lost.
Fortunately, 2 anglers caught a big Halibut.
The group around Bernd Zimmermann got a Halibut with 67Kg at the 19th of August
and at the 23rd of August, Heiko Ruge caught a big fish with 86Kg.

July 2010:
cold summer - nice catches
The average temperature was mostly between 6 and 8 degrees and it was to
cold for this time of the year.
The wind was calm at the most days and our guests fished nearly everyday inside the fjord and on the open sea.
The instabil weather had no influence for the catchresults and everyday, the anglers landed big fish from our rental boats.
Halibut was also in july the most popular fish and nearly all customers, which had the patience, have been successful.
The anglers caught halibut in all sizes and a plenty of the biggest halibuts weight more than 40kg, up to 70kg.
4 angler from Finnland caught more than 20 halibut up to 48kg in 1 week..
The most of the halibut have been caught in depths between 15 and 20mtr and some in depths under 10mtr.
The best fishing spots were inside the fjord and not on the open sea.

The fjord was also a good place for the codfishing.
In depths around 70 to 100mtr. there have been very big schools of cod in sizes between 4 and 9kg.
The best fishing places for big cods from 10, up to 24kg was the open sea.
Redfish was also active in july and on the right days, the results have been fantastic.
Anglers, which fished for redfish caught also coalfish from 5 up to 9Kg on the deep water.
Some customers caught Wolffish, but the catches were - attributale to the time of the year - downward.

have been, together with kids and friends, on a visit in the Torsvag Fyr.
The artists decided to spend 4hours on the sea and Stefan took them out for a fishingtrip for halibut at the 9th of july.
Weather was great and everyone, specially the kids, had a lot of fun.
After 3hours and some cods, Espen got the first halibutattack.
The catch of this 60,5 Kg halibut was a brilliant ending of this nice fishingtrip.
The perfect live performance was the highlight of the weekend and everyone, who wants to get a own impression of Steinars and Monikas wonderful voices, should watch the following movieclips:

Juni 2010:
the weather in june was mostly cold and windy and on some days, it was not possible to fish ,,offshore,,
Because of our big and safe ARVOR Cabinboats and the possibility to fish inside the fjord, our customers lost only
3 fishingdays in the full month.
On a stormy day, the group around Oliver Gross (www.kaelte-gross.de) decided, to walk in the mountains as a alternative
for fishing.

But even in this bad weather/fishing conditions, our customers had nice catches in Torsvag in every week of june.
The codfishing has been stabil with plenty of big cods up to 23kg.
Also a lot of nice Catfishes have been caught, specially in the deep water between 60 - 70 mtr.

| Our customers caught a lot of Halibut in june and the average catch result was 20 to 30 fishes in each week.
The most heaviest catches have been 56kg, 51kg, 44kg and 40kg.

12,5Kg Brosme, caught in 200 mtr.
A big Sandeel with 35cm and 150 Gramm.

Mai 2010:
Record Redfish with 7.2Kg and 8,8Kg
The weather was fantastic in the second half of may.
The most of our guests left the camp with a smile in the face and a lot of fascinating experiences.
Constant weather and the calm sea made it possible, to choose between plenty of different fishing-spots.
Once again, Torsvag confirmed his reputation as a ,,Bigfish - Location,, and the average catch for the full camp
has been 8 to 10 Halibut per day.
Many Anglers realized the dream of ,,the fish of their life,,
with Halibut of 92Kg, 65Kg, 51Kg, 50Kg, 49Kg, 38Kg, 34Kg...
The Codfishing was on a high level.
Watertemperature was rising and more and more small coalfish moved near the coast.
Our customers caught almost every day cods between 10 and 15kg
and the biggest have been 22Kg, 23Kg, 24Kg und 24,5Kg.
The fishing for bigger Coalfish was also successful and nice fishes up to 12kg attacked
the bait on his way up or down in the sea.
The Halibutfishing is excellent in Torsvag, but there are also other kind of species, which are not less interesting.
Redfish is one of this species and the population of fishes between 40 and 50cm is very big
and the chance is always there, to get Redfishes in record sizes.
On the 29th of may, Stefan arranged a guided Tour with Peter, Bernd and Günther.
This day resulted a intense fishing for Cod(up to 21kg), Coalfish(up to 12kg) and Halibut(up to 24kg)
The wind and stream faded in the evening and this was the right situation, to fish for Redfish in the deep water
between 180 and 250 meters.
The new Lowrance Sonar of the new generation (available on the 23ft.Arvor Boats) was very helpful and gave
valuable informations.
Even in depths under 200 meter, the HDS5 delivered brilliant pictures about the bottom and the Redfish swarms.
Already the first stop resulted plenty of Redfishes in ,,normal sizes,,
In the evening, Stefan got a contact in 220 meter and caught a Redfish with 7,2kg and 76cm.
But Günther raised this weight.
He caught a fish with 8,8kg and 82cm.
This Redfish is the new camprecord on Torsvag.

Dreamweather with Dreamfishes
The summer arrived in the first two weeks of may and the wind was mostly a soft breeze.
At some days, the temperatures reached the 20° Degrees mark.
The Fishes like this weather and the catches have been incredible.
More than 120 Halibuts during the last 9 days and plenty of them in Gigantic sizes
with two more fishes over 100Kg.
The most Halibuts have been caught with Giant Jig -and Baithead, but also the Stormshad, the Svenske-Pilk and even the
norwegian Gummi-Makk was successful.
The most heaviest Halibuts of the last days:
112Kg - Torsten Marchlowitz
109Kg - Bolle
82Kg - Team ,,Colonian Sharks,,
71Kg - Team Nowatschek
and much more between 30 and 63Kg.
Congratulations to all Halibut catchers !!!
The Cod fishing resulted a lot of nice fishes between 15 and 22Kg
some Anglers have tried the deepsea fishing for Redfish and got a full box of this tasty fishes.
The bigger Coalfishes from 10 - 14Kg are now closer to the coast and some Customer have been lucky,
to meet a very big school of this strong fighters.
This anglers had drills, until their arms were aching.
April 2010
more big Catches
great fishing during the last days in April.
Among Cods up to 14Kg and plenty of Wolffishes, our customers caught a lot of
Halibuts up to 25Kg and 2 ,,floating Tabletops,,
Actually, there is a biggroup event in Torsvag.
and they succeeded at their first fishingday.
Because of unstable weather at the 29th of April, Heinrich Köppe decided to fish inside the fjord.
He caught, very close to the Torsvag harbour, a 72,8Kg / 177cm Halibut.
Well done Heinrich !!!
Just 1 day after Heinrichs´ fish, our customer Eduardas Jakubynas caught a 100Kg+ Halibut.
His Bigfish weight 102,5Kg with a length of 202cm and is already the 2nd Halibut over 100Kg in our Camp,
during the still, young season 2010.

April 2010
2nd guided Tour
our german customers took a guided Tour with Stefan, to use to all their chances, to catch the popular Halibut.
This was the right decision and at the end of this fishingday, the result was 3 nice Halibuts for the group
around Steffen Garbotz.
Another Highlight of this day, was a strong Fishcontact but this time, the halibut was the winner after 30 minutes.
The Weights of the landed Halibut were 40Kg, 45Kg and 50Kg.

April 2010
Season Start with 162,7 Kg Halibut
After the Wintermonths March and April, the Spring started at easter with rising temperatures and nice weather.
The first guests arrived in the camp at the 3rd of April and caught plenty of cods between 10 -20 Kg during their first days.
Satisfied with the great Codcatches, they had the wish, to catch a halibut.
At the 8th of April, they went out to the sea, together with Stefan and it has been a great Fishingday.
After a slow start in the morning, the stream was rising and the fishes showed more activity.
Stefan caught the first Halibut of 7Kg and a 65Kg Fish followed soon.
The Dutch Fishermen had no Fishcontact for a long time, but suddenly, a very heavy Fish took Harry´s Baithead.
With all the energy and after 2hours, the 162,7Kg and 230cm Halibut was beaten.

November 2009
Halibut Double
The nice Halibut catches of the last Octoberweek, continued in the beginning of November.
Stefan caught 2 big Ones.
The Fishes weight 89,5Kg with 186cm and 53Kg with 155cm.
Bait: 500 Gramm Giant Baithead with dead coalfish (a real weapon for halibutfishing)

October 2009
In the beginning of October, the weather was mostly bad with a lot of wind
and cold temperatures. But in the middle of the month, the weather calmed down
and enabled some days for the deepsea-fishing.
The fishing for Redfish resulted a plenty of nice fishes between 2-3Kg
and two big ones of 4,2Kg and 4,8Kg.
The month October seems to be a successful month for this kind of fish.
Bycatch in 220Mtr depth was a Lengfish of 12Kg, caught with a small piece of coalfish.
At the End of October with calm sea and at the time of the fullmoon,
Stefan invested some days in the Halibutfishing.
At the 24th and 25th of October, the Halibut was very activ and Stefan caught 7 Specimens up to 22Kg.
He also lost 2 big ones, and one of them, has not shown himself at the surface, after 1 hour fight...
With the knowledge, that the Halibuts is still in the shallow water, at this time of the year,
he was fishing again the 30th of October and it has been a fishingday with happy end.
Already at 7.00 o´clock in the morning, a big halibut attacked the coalfish on the Baithead in 25Mtr.
depth and after a fight of 55 minutes, the fish was landed and fixed with a rope outside on the Arvor boat
With a lenght of 182cm and 85Kg was it one of the most biggest Halibuts, caught in the Fishingcamp
with rod and reel, in the season 2009.

September 2009
at the end of September, the Group of Matthias Thiele found no easy weather conditions in Torsvag.
In cold, but snow and frost-free autumn weather, air temperatures between 2 and 8 degrees with
fresh and rotating winds, the Group lost only 1 day, because of strong wind.
At 8 days it was possible, to fish successful in depths of 15-40 meters, for the King of the Flatfish and once again,
a dead coalfish on the Giant Baithead proved his extrem catchability.
Not one day passed without Halibut contacts and in total 11 Halibuts up to 33.4Kg and many Cods
up to 131cm have been caught with the dead coalfish.

September 2009
first-class Halibut and Codfishing at the end of the season
in the second half of September the weather was changeable and unstable
Nevertheless our customers caught some big fishes.
succeeded on the 20th of September, during 3 hours, with a fantastic Double - Strike.
He caught two extremely fat Halibuts of 158cm (about 60Kg) and 178cm (about 90Kg)
The successful Bait was again a 650Gramm Giant Baithead with a small coalfish.
Robert Balkow and girlfriend Sandra (www.boddenangeln.de) experienced in June 2009
an excellent Halibutfishing with specimens up to 173cm.
Now in September they were again successful.
Sandra caught halibut up to 18Kg and Robert established his new personal Cod record
with a 131cm / 19, 5Kg fish.
Bigger and heavier Cod specimens are always possible, like David A. Parrish
showed on the 26th of September.
His Pilk was taken by a Giant Cod of 30Kg and 140cm!
Many more nice catches of Cods and Halibuts in best condition show, that the autumn fishing

slow stream and a softly breeze are the best conditions to fish successful for Redfish over deep water.

August 2009
the weather in the last week of August with brisk wind from Northeast and sinking
airpressure, was not as good as the weeks before.
But it´s always possible to get some nice Fishes, even under difficult fishing conditions.
Andreas Haumann caught Cods up to 14Kg and Halibuts up to 24Kg, but his personal
highlight was a Coalfish with 120cm and 16,5Kg.
With this fish, Andreas has reached a new Camprecord for this species.

Whales inside the Fjords
masses of small Coalfish and Sandeel are moving inside the Fjords and plenty
of whales follow them.
The most common is the Northern Minke, but it´s always possible to see
a Beluga, a Humpback or Orca Whale and many more...
Many of our Customers had a Whale Meeting during their Fishing Sessions and
took some nice pictures.

Big Halibut Success for the ,,Bocholt Lions,,
The Group of Jan, Gregor, Jonas, Marcel and Daniel had excellent summerfishing
for Halibut and caught fishes up to 65Kg.
Jonas was the Champion with 60Kg, 45Kg, 45Kg, 30Kg and a few smaller ones.

Summertime = Halibuttime
Conny and Simon Jacobsson with Friends in Torsvag.
The Result of 17 Halibut up to 58Kg and some new PB´s was again a
demonstration of the enormous potential for the area around Torsvag.
Specially the fishing inside the Fjords over shallow water was very successful.

,,Expedition-Kveite,, Tour 2009
organized, supported and guided by Matthias Fuhrmann (www.boddenangeln.de) and
Volker Dapoz (www.seawaverlures.com) was a great success for all group members.
More than 60 Halibut up to 173cm was the result of hard work, successful Baits, the
right strategy and -of course- a little bit of luck.
The Catch relation between the Giant Jighead and the new Baithead was around
50/50, but most of the big Halibut have been caught with a dead coalfish, fixed on
the Baithead.
Almost all of the Halibut have been released and will -hopefully- grow up to come
back for the next ,,Expedition-Kveite,, Tour in September 2010.
